About this QuickTip
Did you know Apple Music has a hidden feature for sharing your favourite song lyrics with friends? In this quick tutorial I'll show you how to do it on your iPhone. Just open the Now Playing screen, tap the lyrics icon, then long-press the line you want. A share sheet appears with the lyrics highlighted in the same colours as the album artwork, and you can tap to select multiple lines before sending. Share it however you like and your friends get the lyrics plus a tap-to-play link straight to the song in Apple Music. Sent over iMessage, it turns into a lovely visual card. The lyrics feature in Apple Music is great for singing along to, but it also has a hidden feature for sharing your favourite lyrics with your friends.
First, we need to open lyric mode by tapping this icon from the Now Playing screen. At this point, we’re going to scroll to our favourite part of the song, or perhaps just the lyrics that you want to share, and then long-press one of those lines of text.
A brand-new share sheet will appear, and the lyrics are highlighted in the same colours as the album artwork, which is a nice touch.
What’s cool here is that you can tap to select multiple lines, even scrolling forwards and backwards if you need to by swiping up and down.
When you’re done, you can simply share it however you like, and your friends will get the lyrics along with the ability to tap on the song immediately in Apple Music. It creates a really lovely visual card if you send it via iMessage.
If you learned something new here, I think you’re going to love the rest of my channel, so please do subscribe and then check out this QuickTip.
