Hi, it’s your friendly teacher, Jacob here, and in this short video, I’m going to show you three different ways to turn off your iPhone.
You might be thinking, “Well, that’s really obvious. I just press and hold the power button.” But actually, it doesn’t quite work like that. Instead, that will usually activate Siri.
So, there are three different ways we can do this.
Option number one is to jump into our Settings app and then tap onto General. At the very bottom of the screen, we have the option to Shut Down, and then you can simply drag your finger across the slider, and that will turn off your phone.
I’m not going to shut mine down right now, otherwise the video will be much longer than it needs to be.
The second way to turn your phone off is to use the physical buttons on the side of your device, which is good if your screen is perhaps frozen.
So, what I’m going to do is press and hold the Volume Up button and the Power button on the right-hand side. This will bypass Siri, and after a couple of seconds, you’ll get that same screen where you can simply use that slider to shut down.
But actually, my favourite way is even easier than this. And if you’re finding this video helpful, please do press that Like button down below. That really helps my channel get seen by more people.
Okay, my favourite way to turn off your iPhone is simply to swipe down into Control Centre by swiping down from the top right corner of your screen. From here, you can then long-press on the power button in the very top corner. And just like that, you can turn off your phone.
